🌿 The August Gratitude Challenge: Honoring the Hard, Embracing the Beautiful

Two years ago, on August 4, 2022, we lost our daughter to Turner Syndrome at 22 weeks pregnant. It was the hardest thing we’ve ever gone through. There’s no way to prepare for that kind of pain—the grief, the quiet, the questions.
But there was also something else.
That season brought us clarity.
Reconnected us to a higher power.
It taught us to slow down and notice the little things—because when your time with someone is so limited, every moment becomes sacred.
During our pregnancy with her, we lived day to day. The outcome was uncertain, but we chose to be fully present with her. To appreciate each heartbeat. Each quiet kick. Each beautiful, borrowed day.
That mindset—gratitude in the midst of uncertainty—changed us. And now, two years later, I want to share that with you and find a nice way to commemorate our daughter.
🌞 Why a Gratitude Challenge?
Life is fast. We’re all chasing more: more peace, more money, more meaning, more time. But the truth is… abundance doesn’t come from hustle—it comes from awareness.
From presence.
From gratitude.
So this August, I invite you to join me for a 31-day Gratitude Challenge—a gentle but powerful practice to shift your energy, slow your pace, and reconnect to what actually matters.
✨ Here’s What to Expect:
Each day in August, you’ll get a simple prompt to reflect on, a 10-min-or-less action to take, and a shareable affirmation. We’ll focus on five areas that hold deep meaning:
Health – honoring our bodies and energy
Wealth – shifting how we relate to money and value
Time – being present in our lives right now
Purpose – reconnecting to what we’re here for
Relationships – holding close what (and who) really matters
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s not about toxic positivity.
It’s about slowing down, tuning in, and feeling it all—the joy, the grief, the gratitude.
Because it’s all part of it.
🕊 Why August?
Because I want this month to be sacred.
Not just sad.
Not just quiet.
But meaningful.
I want to remember my daughter by living in deeper gratitude for every breath, every moment, every lesson. And if this practice shifts something in you too—then that’s her ripple reaching just a little further.
Let’s move through this month with open eyes, open hearts, and open hands.
Let’s remember what really matters.
Let’s create space for joy without ignoring the pain.
Let’s begin. 💜🦋
